I can't believe you're still getting the runaround at Toscana. There
are apartment complexes in Palo Alto that have been offering T-1 access
since 1989!
Cheers,

The complex is the one on University, one set before Guinda. They
don't have a "name" and each unit has its own address. The
addresses range from somewhere around the 850's to the 810's on the
even side of the street. When I lived there it was a thinnet network,
but I believe the technology has long since been upgraded. The complex
was in fact the first POP of The Little Garden network (later bought
by Best) which was the first ISP west of the misissippi.
I don't believe there is any restruction on use; conversely there
probably is no firewall (naturally there were none when I lived there).

I don't mind, but I'm afraid I also don't remember much more. It used
to be operated by The Little Garden as I said, but that doesn't exist
any more, and I no longer know anyone who lives there.
Sure you can put it on your page -- the Toscana guys seemed pretty
happy to have been the first -- a pity for them that almost 10 years
earlier someone had it working better!
